Tenant Participation
Overview

TPAS Cymru has supported social housing tenants and landlords in Wales for over 30 years and has a strong track record in developing effective participation through training, support, practical projects and policy development. We have an extensive knowledge of social housing with a focus on issues from the tenant perspective and for tenants’ benefit.

Locally, we are developing best practice at landlord, tenant group and project level through practical advice, support, training and project work. Across Wales we improve the quality of tenant participation through disseminating and promoting good practice.

At Government level we are contributing to policy change by informing about policy developments and issues, channeling the experience and needs of tenants and landlords to policy makers, and working with partner organisations to influence policy.

Joining the Tenant Participation Advisory Service Cymru demonstrates your commitment to ensuring that Tenant Participation is key to your service or organisation.

TPAS Cymru has consistently shown that bringing landlords and tenants together can help them to understand the issues which are important to each other. We help you to do better, as well as giving you access to a network with other committed landlords, tenants and volunteers across the county.

This sharing of knowledge and experience can help landlords to be more responsive to tenants’ needs. It enables tenants to meet like-minded people and form strong support groups. Above all, it enables all stakeholders to work together to improve services, save money and change communities for the better.

Take a look at the benefits of becoming an Associate Member of TPAS Cymru. The cost of membership can be as little as £40 per year for organisations or £21 per year for individuals.
